Joy to the World

Underprivileged children have desires apart from food, a few clothes, and a safe place to learn and stay. They are grateful for what they are given and maturely understand their lives. The ‘Joy to the World’ program aims to satisfy some of their small wishes during this festive season. 

Children living in orphanages write wish cards which are collected by Bhumi volunteers. The initiative connects the children with the employees of several leading companies to purchase and distribute them to the children.

How this initiative works:

• The Bhumi team helps children write their wishes on wish cards and collects them.

• After collecting the card, Bhumi’s team purchases the gifts as per the child’s wish.

• The gifts are distributed in person to each child (just like secret Santa during Christmas) where the children joyfully receive the gifts they wished for.

A child’s smile is a thousand times brighter than the Sun, and the initiative – “Joy to the World” by Bhumi does just that by fulfilling the wishes of underprivileged children in shelter homes/low-income communities 

The wishes of these children are not luxuries but are necessities. They wear their widest and the brightest smiles when they get their teddy bears, sports gear, foot wears, Hero pens, and school bags.
