KARUNYA - Home Based Cancer Care

Home Based Cancer Care is Dream Project of the District Panchayat, Ernakulam,, Kerala. Karunyavarsham made it as a Reality. Karunyavarsham have two units for Home Based Cancer Care. Each team visits the Houses of the Cancer Patients, who have registered with the Govt. Hospital for Palliative Home Care. there are 450 Cancer Patients registered for Home Based Cancer Care. We give them free Home Based Nursing care, medicines, financial assistance, social and psychological support to the patients so that they need not visit hospitals for Nursing care. Even Doctor visit also arranged if necessary free of cost. We give them occasional gifts, education kits, World cancer day Celebration by taking the patients for a leisure trip in sea. We have two vehicles for this purpose- donated by Cochin Ship yard and Federal Bank Ltd. In a density populated District like, Ernakulam, in order for Karunyavarsham's compassionate hands to reach every patient, the team needs to be expanded. For this, the help and cooperation of kind hearted individuals is crucial. We earnestly request everyone to join hands in this noble mission against Cancer.
