Kick at Home (A project to help underprivileged children learn football and enable their right to play)

OSCAR Foundation is a football for development non-profit dedicated to empowering children and youth in low-income communities in India. OSCAR uses football as a tool to deliver education and life skills sessions enabling children and youth to become role models in their community. Through the lockdown, we realized that a number of children were unable to participate in our football activities as they did not have their own footballs at home.

To overcome this challenge, our coaches taught our beneficiaries how to make footballs with newspapers and cardboard so they could get involved. Meanwhile, many of our supporters came together in 2021 and sponsored some footballs. We then started distributing footballs to our beneficiaries in Cuffe Parade, Colaba, Thane and hope to expand to other locations in Mumbai very soon with your support. We have also distributed footballs to children at Yadgir, Karnataka where we operate our rural project.

Each football costs $7 or Rs 500 (approx)

For $35 or Rs Rs 2500, you can support 5 children with footballs.

This campaign is also an attempt to encourage our children to practice and play at home and not loiter on the streets especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. It helps them keep up the positivity and creativity during these gloomy times. Support us in our goal to distribute a football to each of our 3500 OSCAR children.
