Education is vital to any society. India has been expanding efforts to improve the reach and quality of education, available through the schooling system, for decades. We have been fairly successful in reaching education to the diverse populace. Attempts at improving the quality of education have also been made, though not as successful as the former.

While improving the quality of education has many dimensions, clarity about the expected outcomes of learning, providing content that aligns with those objectives, adopting pedagogy that helps achieve those objectives and appropriate evaluation methods are some key aspects. Consistent and organized pursuit of studying these aspects in the societal, cultural and academic context of our schools and children, is essential.

The role of education in society is to help improve the quality of life, which is possible through research. Based on empirical data, Prayoga intends to objectively construct the knowledge to make our schools capable of grooming the future citizens of our country. Prayoga is working with the purpose of contributing to educational policies that enable the societal journey towards a promising future. Prayoga Institute of Education Research is a *first-of-its-kind research initiative in the private space in India, working towards a public cause*

As a young and passionate research organization in the private space, Prayoga is pursuing its dream of contributing to improving the quality of education in India. The major categories of support to Prayoga are as follows: Research, Kriya, Anveshana, Infrastructure & Operations, and Prayoga Patrons.

Prayoga aims to identify pedagogical challenges, develop solutions for educators & students, enable schools to transform their work & outcomes, and conduct & publish research to shape education policy across India. Prayoga intends to take up long-term and short-term research projects to study various factors contributing to the quality of education, such as pedagogy, content, assessment & evaluation, and improve the quality of education.

Transforming schools - Prayoga, through its association with philanthropic individuals and organizations, will empower schools that cater to the less privileged sections of society by enhancing the physical infrastructure, and academic and operational capabilities. This is done by supporting the school management, school leaders & teachers through a sustained multi-year engagement.
