Suffering of children due to rote learning system, tough parenting and culture of toxic behaviour cycles

The children are faced with the apathy of school administration and teachers, who stress on mugging up things and somehow passing exams. Back at home, their parents fail to positively influence them as they are either illiterate or ignorant. This leaves ample space for children to get involved in unhealthy activities and nuisance due to a lack of proper guidance. So they do not get the chance to fully manifest their potential which restricts the development and well-being of not only the children but also the whole of society.

We plan to set up a full-time learning space where the focus will not just be on academics but on AcademiX, a term we use for a holistic curriculum aimed at the all-around development of the children. Our teachers and facilitators from diverse backgrounds work based on the idea of flipped classrooms by customizing learning experiences according to children's needs and interests. Along with the academic curriculum, we use one-on-one facilitator guidance, exposure, and inspiration for interest-driven problem-solving and socio-emotional skill development. Children will also be sent on exchange and immersion programs to hone their skills as well as experience diverse cultures.

We aim at enabling our children to be expressive, curious and think beyond their classrooms. This will help us enable the self-directed learning process instead of rote learning. The children will become confident, aware and considerate about their thoughts and actions. We plan to place them in leadership roles within the group embodying the philosophy of "empowering from within." Practical and experiential learning will not only help them garner employable skills but also set them apart from others in their age group.
