Imagine a world where students cannot access diagrams like the human heart, a geometric figure, or a scientific circuit—not because they lack intelligence or interest, but because the resources simply don’t exist in a form they can perceive. For most students with visual impairment in India, this is a daily reality.

At Raised Lines Foundation, we are changing that. We create tactile books and educational kits that translate complex STEM diagrams into touch-based formats — using simplified linework, different textures, raised outlines, and meaningful patterns. These 2.5D tactile diagrams are accompanied by Braille and large print, enabling students to understand abstract concepts through touch and sight.

Our tactile resources are designed for students from Class 1 to Class 10, covering subjects where visual content is essential. From geometry and science to geography and biology, our mission is to make these concepts accessible and inclusive.

These books are a result of 4+ years of dedicated research, co-creation with educators and students, and countless iterations — and while they cost only 1/5th of the price of international alternatives, many blind schools and visually impaired students across India still cannot afford them.
