Help me support a cause close to my heart

At NavSahyog Foundation, we develop Life skills and Creativity in village children through sports, storytelling, emotional intelligence sessions, experiential learning and creative activities. We do this daily in each of the villages we work in. We work closely with the teachers, parents and the community. Currently, we work in 39 villages across TN and Karnataka.What do we do?: We work with the children in the age group of 5–14 years (their most impressionable age). In each of our villages, we conduct sports for one hour from Mon-Sat at the village level. On Sundays, we conduct 2 hours sessions on Storytelling, Emotional Intelligence sessions, experiential learning and creative activities like thumb painting, traditional board games, story building, story enacting, etc. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we used to conduct traditional Indian sports like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi. Now we have temporarily suspended contact sports of Kho-Kho and Kabaddi and in its place we do yoga &amp; meditation and we play board games, sports like running race, long jump &amp; high jump.To impart experiential learning to children, we have also started a project to develop a Bank of Nutrition (BoN) in our villages. This entails each child planting and nurturing a fruit tree sapling at her home and later sharing fruits with others. Children learn about the values of their trees and fruits and share these with other children. There is a year-long contest among villages. The parents &amp; community members in the villages are also engaged to support and nurture all plants in their villages. Thus children and the community learn to team. Our Presence: Currently, we work with over 1100 children, across 39 villages in Denkanikottai Taluk, Tamil Nadu and Taluks of Tumkur and Haliyal in Karnataka.Our Vision:  A world where children in villages pursue their dreams and create superior livelihoods for themselves and others.Our mission: To impact 60000 children across 2000 villages, by the end of 2025.Objective: Developing life skills and creativity in the village children during their most Impressionable ages will lead to: a) Confident and responsible youth, having the ability to create a superior livelihood for themselves and others. b) Girls that are confident, aware and empowered, so they do not drop out of education early or are pushed to early child marriages and pregnancies.
