Link 500 Tribal Families to Government Social Security Schemes in Bansjor, Simdega

In rural Bansjor block of Simdega district, hundreds of eligible tribal families are excluded from life saving government welfare schemes due to lack of awareness, documentation gaps, hard to reach areas and digital barriers.

The Problem

Although India has strong social protection schemes, many eligible families in remote tribal villages are not enrolled because:

• They do not know which schemes they qualify for
• They lack required documents
• They cannot access online application systems
• They cannot afford travel to block offices
• They face delays and procedural barriers

As a result:

• Elderly people remain without pensions
• Widows remain financially insecure
• Families lack ration access
• Children miss scholarship benefits
• Households remain uninsured
• Government benefits exist, but access is broken.

Our Solution

Chotanagpur Kalyan Niketan will organize a structured Social Security Linkage Drive covering 10 villages in Bansjor block.

We will:

• Conduct household level identification surveys (already Done)
• Verify eligibility for relevant schemes (already Done)
• Assist in documentation and form filling
• Organize multiple village level linkage camps
• Submit applications online and offline
• Follow up with block authorities
• Track approvals and confirm final linkage

Each beneficiary will receive personalized support until scheme enrollment is confirmed.

Who Will Be Supported

Priority groups include:

• Elderly persons eligible for pension
• Widows and single women
• Persons with disabilities
• Pregnant and lactating mothers
• Tribal households
• Families at risk of child marriage
• Ultra poor households
• At least 60 percent of beneficiaries will be women.

Expected Impact

Within 3 months:

• 500 individuals linked to at least one government scheme
• Estimated 300 families enrolled in pension or cash benefit schemes
• 200 families enrolled in health insurance or food security schemes
• Increased household income security
• Reduced vulnerability among tribal communities

Each successful linkage creates long term financial stability far beyond the project duration.
