Lively hood programme for the persons with intellectual disabilities

We have a residential centre for adults and children with intellectually challenged in Tiruvellur District. There are about 25 trainees who are very problematic at home, children with behavioural disorders. Mostly they have single parents or only grandparents, and so, they stay in the hostel. We provide food and shelter while moulding them with important life help skills, and vocational training to be independent in society.

They overtake the preparation of good handicraft products, but they don't normally get sufficient income in the market. We want to help them with work which gives them economic support.

1. Providing training to prepare homemade oils and household masalas with machines
2. Getting local markets and good supermarkets for orders.
3. Keep the quality of the products and maintain the orders.
4. Training the trainers at all levels of production, getting raw materials, stocking and delivery.
5. Thus creating a well-sustained person with their challenges

1. Everyone can be made useful with their limited skills.
2. A person with challenges can be productive and economically independent.
3. The skills in production, operation, accounts, packing, and delivering skills could be learned by them.
