Living expenses sponsorship for a senior citizen

Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Old Age Home provides shelter to nearly 100 destitute and poor senior citizens at Kasuva Campus and also Gandhi Ashram Krishnan Memorial Senior Citizens’ Home is our second facility in Thanjavur districtat Thanjavur with a difference. Many senior citizens are rendered homeless because of their inability to fend for themselves, due to lack of earnings or are abused by their kith and kin and left to fend for themselves. With the aging population set to increase over the next decade, by some estimates by more than 20 million, it is essential to take care of their emotional, spiritual and physical needs, as they get into the twilight of their years.

1.     To look after the elderly people with utmost care and empathy in a pleasant atmosphere to lead a happy and peaceful life till their last journey;         

2.     To ensure that the old age residents of Sevalaya, live with respect, dignity in a secure, compassionate, congenial environment and surroundings;

3.     To provide companionship, emotional support to overcome social isolation;

4.     To ensure adequate nourishment, clothes and other basic necessities for Sevalaya’s destitute old age home residents;

5.     To ensure instant and quality healthcare for the old age residents, who are destitute, so that they can get awareness on health and hygienic issues

The poor helpless and destitute Old Aged persons who will be given residential facility need to be provided with food and clothes in free of cost

Regular medical check-up, health care should be arranged for the poor and destitute old age home residents and ensure they are healthy and fit.

These Old aged persons need facilities of nursing, recreation and socialization, so that they may be released from mental depression
