Story

Children are the future as well as a source of hope and inspiration for the development of any nation. Thus they need to be protected and a proper environment should be provided for their healthy growth and development. But it has been observed that children face multiple problems and it has been a hindrance to their development. Among various issues, Child labour is one of the most crucial and dangerous issues in today’s world.

Instead of going to school and experiencing childhood, 171 million children (2013 report of the ILO) across the world are trapped in the vicious cycle of child labour and are involved in different types of work. These children are deprived of their basic right to live a dignified life, access proper education, and a safe environment to grow up in. This is mental, physical, socially, or morally harmful to the future of children. In India, we report a similar report; almost 12 million children are engaged in child labour. What’s alarming though is the fact that since the year 2000 child labour has been reduced by a measly 2.2% only.
