Story

Tare Zameen Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in the year 2018 in Delhi.

“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it” – Marian Wright Edelman

Education is a very important element in each person’s life. It creates the foundation for the development of oneself as well as the society. It helps empower people and makes them self- reliant by which they can contribute to the development of the nation.

With the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, India underwent a nationwide lockdown. Even though this is slowly getting removed and has reached the unlocking stage 4, but educational institutions are still not allowed to reopen.

The closure of these institutions have greatly impacted studies. To cope up with this loss most of the private educational institutions have shifted towards virtual learning mode using video conferring for lectures and e-books to study from. But due to the due lack of gadgets and modern technologies many children in rural areas are not able to attend online classes as well as are not able to get the books to study from.

This has led many students in rural areas to dropout thereby bringing down the situation of education in India.

A large number of such unprivileged families stay in Babu Camp, Sambav Camp, Vimbasti, Viru camp and Sapera Basti near Chattarpur, South Delhi. Through the project Meri Pehchan, Tare Zameen Foundation is organizing the free distribution of books to underprivileged children. Along with this, our Foundation is also initiating a project to provide basic education to the children who are not able to study due to this pandemic.

The organization is doing its best to help children continue their studies in such a difficult time. This will help the children as well as their families to have a ray of hope in these tough times.

The organization is putting its best foot forward, but it also requires your support in this good cause.

This project will help provide basic education to the needy, who want to but are not able to continue their education due to this pandemic.

Our organization is also providing free books to the children so that they can continue their education with the support of our foundation.

In such a difficult time, we all are fighting from this disease. But this should not be done at the cost of damaging the future of these young bright minds that have the capabilities yet to be explored and furnished.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”- Nelson Mandela
