Story

We are covered 30kms radius (3 Taluks and 20 villages) rural, poor and under privileged special students. We pick up and drop from our two school vans on their door steps. In our school strength 80% special students come from rural areas. So our van starts the journey in early morning. The working daily wages rural parents are not getting adequate time to preparing the nutritious food for their children. The food habits are also very important for their hyperactive autism kids. So, we decided to give nutritious food and quality mid-day afternoon lunch for special students. The program aims to improve the nutritional status of children, encourage school attendance, and enhance the overall learning outcomes of students.

Project Description:

In morning the parents should get ready their children in timely to pick the van. Some of the students are taking drugs for seizure, they can’t get earlier, and they are fully dependent to the parents for activity of daily life. The below poverty line students are not getting good food, they prepare food at early morning and use it for next day afternoon. During summer season the foods are also get affected. So on that day our staffs or management, share or purchase the food from near hotels on that day. Some of the student gets boring to see the same food all day. The spice food attracts them so they take food from others plate.

In certain financial conditions, some families could not give nutritional foods to their kids, but most importantly kids with special needs must need nutritional food. It might be more comfortable for these kids when everyone getting a same nutritious food in all their plates.

This uniformity in food can also reduce the mealtime challenges such as tantrums, extreme food selectivity and ritualistic eating behaviors in special need children. For some parents with special kids making meal is like an endless battle. so, we have to reduce the burden of those parents.

Our aim and objective are achieved with help of special teachers and staff only. They are doing their memorable work to help to improve their special children life. In our school staff strength is 98% female was working. They have their own family. In rural areas the female only prepares the food for their family. So, they are also affected to prepare the afternoon lunch. Their health also important for implement our project. So, we decided to give afternoon meals program for our staff also.

Some donors provide food for our children teir special occasions. It is prepared by high class hotel and that day the children are eating food earlier and they ask food so many times.

The best way to make children good is to make them happy. especially our special kids are in favor of food, so all we know “The best of you are those who feed others”. So, we must act together to do something good for them.

Our RITHAM CHARITABLE TRUST acts a best example for the quote, “THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOURSELF IS TO LOSE YOURSELF IN THE SERVICE OF OTHERS”.

We give our hands to serve and our hearts to love. So we are trying hard to give best food to our kids, so please be connected with us for doing something great.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Every charitable act is a steppingstone towards heaven.so please join hands together with us to serve our society in a best way.

The menu is designed to provide a balanced diet with adequate calories, protein, and micronutrients.

The Mid-day Meal Scheme has been instrumental in increasing school enrollment and attendance rates, especially among children from marginalized communities. It has also helped improve the health and nutrition status of children, leading to better academic performance.

Our school’s chief donor and volunteer, Mr. Sarathi Seenan, volunteered at the school from 20.01.2026 to 27.01.2026. During this period, he conducted training session for the teachers and office staff on handling and improving the school’s data management system.

To simplify data handling, he created separate Google Mail IDs for the teachers and office staff. He also designed user-friendly Google Sheets for data collection and Google Forms for leave applications, making the overall data management process more efficient, well-organized, and easy to use.
