Story

Many children at Ritham come from rural, low-income backgrounds where nutrition is often inadequate. Good nutrition is essential for children with intellectual disabilities (ID) because it directly impacts their physical growth, brain development, energy levels, and ability to participate actively in learning and therapy. Providing milk and millets ensures they receive a regular source of protein, calcium, and other vital nutrients, especially in cases where they may not get them at home.

Uses/Benefits:

  1. Better Physical Growth – Milk and Millets provides calcium and protein, which help in bone and muscle development.
  2. Improved Immunity – Nutrients like vitamin B12, vitamin D, and zinc strengthen the immune system.
  3. Increased Energy and Alertness – A nutritious drink before or during school helps them stay active and attentive in classes and therapy sessions.
  4. Enhanced Brain Function – Milk and Millets contains amino acids and essential fatty acids that support memory, focus, and overall brain health.
  5. Support for Special Needs – Many children with ID have specific dietary needs; milk helps meet daily nutritional requirements, aiding in therapy progress.
  6. Encourages Healthy Eating Habits – Introducing milk and Millets as part of the daily routine promotes lifelong healthy nutrition practices.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We celebrate a 77th Republic day on 26.01.2026 in our school. Our Principal Mr.K.Venkataramanan hoisted a National Flag and delivered his speech.

Furthermore, our students performed dance programmes, which added joy and color to the celebration. At the end of the programme, sweets were distributed to everyone.
