Myrtle Social Welfare Network need vehicle for a good cause

Myrtle Social Welfare Network is a non- profit charitable organization working for the development of under privileged community for nearly two decades since 2003. Myrtle strives for the Social, Educational, Physical and Economic welfare of the most marginalized community, and its services span a wide range of spectrum covering every needy soul beyond the boundaries of caste, class, creed, language and religion.

Myrtle has successfully initiated several specialized programmes for the past 19 years, reaching out to the deprived children, youth, women and community for Educational Institutions, Government departments, NGO's, INGO's and UN Agencies in India.

Myrtle is an urgent need of FOUR WHEELER MUV for the project purpose, since Myrtle intervention is extending in supporting under privileged community in Chennai, Tiruvallur and Chengalpet district, we are in desperate need of Four Wheeler to implement, support and monitoring the ongoing projects.

1. Myrtle Shelter Home for Urban Homeless Women at Teynampet, Chennai - providing food, shelter and clothing for 40 abandoned women every day.

2. Remedial Education centre in 10 Irula Tribal villages at Poondi block, Tiruvallur district. In these villages 286 under privileged children are benefitting through remedial education and providing nutritional food supplements in the centre every day.

3. CHILD HELP DESK - collaboration with Ministry of Women and Child Development(GOI) , Ministry of Railways and Childline India Foundation have set up CHILD HELP DESK at Villivakkam railway station for past three years and rescue, rehabilitate and protect children who need care and protection.

4. Skill Development - offers certified course on Skill Training for unemployed under previliged youth, to prepare them for jobs in Health sector. Owing to the increasing need in elderly home care services.

5. Supporting Cancer affected children and their Families at ICH, Egmore, Chennai: supporting underprivileged cancer children since 2014 through partnerships with hospitals and caregivers. More than 600 cancer affected children Myrtle has supported in terms of Nutritional, transport, siblings education, cash toll, hand outs etc,

6. Creating awareness on Road safety among the Adolescent children in Chennai Schools.
