Nakshatra Sports – Talent platform for 500+ underprivileged kids

There’s only one thing that talented young children seek - an earnest opportunity. "Nakshatra" provides a platform for children from shelter homes to ‘Dream,’ exhibit their talents, ‘Discover’ their potential, and ‘Dazzle’ in an atmosphere of healthy competition. This way, we contribute to their holistic development through extra-curricular activities.

Nakshatra first started in the year 2009 in Chennai and the year 2014 in Pune. Since then, we have conducted nakshatra for 500+ kids annually .

Last year, we had 480+ kids from 18 shelter homes participate in Nakshatra Sports on 10th March. We are proud to raise funds for NAKSHATRA, a cause that has always been close to our hearts, to enrich the talent of these kids from humble backgrounds.

Since its inception, Nakshatra Sports has been a beacon of hope, enriching the lives of children from humble backgrounds. From track-field events to indoor games like chess and Badminton , and outdoor team sports like football and kabaddi , Nakshatra Sports celebrates the diversity of sports, promoting unity and camaraderie among participants.

Our Impact:

Last year, Nakshatra Sports was hosted for 490+ kids from 18 shelter homes, and this year, we aim to reach even more. Your support will directly contribute to covering essential expenses, ensuring that over 500 children from 18+ shelter homes can participate fully in this transformative sporting event.

• Event Logistics: Includes tents, chairs, audio systems, and venue rent - Rs. 40,000
• Food: Providing breakfast, lunch, and snacks for participants - Rs. 70,000
• Gifts: Prizes, medals, and trophies for winners across 13 events - Rs. 20,000
• Inventories: Food and event supplies for 13 diverse events - Rs. 15,000
• Transportation: Pick up and drop from shelter homes - Rs. 40,000
• Miscellaneous: Additional expenses to ensure a smooth event - Rs. 15,000
