Support us to establish Space Science & technology education resources in schools

Namma Telescope is the flagship initiative of the Open Space Foundation, which aims to provide accessibility to the Telescopes. In the initial phase, the project aims to establish the Telescopes & Namma Telescope engagement centres in all schools of Tamilnadu.

Goals: The Namma Telescope project has the following primary goals:

  • We aim to establish 50 Namma Telescope centres in Tamilnadu.
  • Provide schools with functional telescopes to ensure observational learning experience in science education.
  • Stimulate students' interest in astronomy and participate in the open science & citizen science research.
  • Develop critical thinking, and scientific temperament skills among students.
  • Encourage students to pursue careers in STEAM fields by nurturing their aspirations.

Required Budget:

  1. Telescopes for 20 Centres - 20 × 30,000 = 6,00,000
  2. Resources & Materials - 20 × 5,000 = 1,00,000
