NEET's Summer Workshop Cum Ontorongo Aalap, 2026

This July, more than 300 children from marginalized communities in Guwahati and Balipara will participate in NEET's Summer Workshop cum Ontorongo Aalap 2026—a month-long journey of learning, creativity, and cultural discovery. Now in its 8th edition in Kamrup (Metro) and 4th edition in Balipara, the programme has remained completely free of cost since its inception, ensuring that children from underserved communities are never denied access due to financial barriers.

Through folk music, dance, drama, storytelling, art, and library activities, children will explore Assam's rich heritage while building confidence, communication, and teamwork skills. The programme will culminate in Ontorongo Aalap, where the children will present their performances before their families and communities.

Your contribution will help cover the cost of teaching artists, learning materials, workshop sessions, and the final performances, enabling us to continue offering this transformative experience free of charge and reach even more children with opportunities to learn, create, and celebrate their cultural roots.
