Shocking numbers, aren’t they? With no one to care for them, orphaned and abandoned children live amidst the dangers of the streets, open prey to abuse, neglect, starvation and human trafficking. Either they choose a dark life of crime or they are pushed into child labour with no other means to sustain themselves.
