Nourish children in schools, through The Breakfast Revolution

India strives to be a USD $5 Billion economy, but is our human capital ready? The triple burden of malnutrition already affects India's children. Recent government data (NFHS-5) tells us that 9 out of every 10 children (below the age of 5 years, or the core building blocks of life timeframe) do not receive an adequate diet! 

Empty tummies mean that MANY children lack the energy and focus needed to learn in the morning. The official stats paints a grim picture:

- Every 3rd child suffers from stunted growth

- Anaemia hurts 68.3% of all our children 

- 33% of the children are underweight

Malnutrition is a complex interweb of issues, but The Breakfast Revolution (TBR) believes that no child should face a day on an empty stomach. Breakfast feeds a child’s ability to learn, improve and thrive, and helps them be the best version of themselves. 

TBR conducts malnutrition screenings, provides healthy breakfasts, and offers Vitamin A, de-worming and IFA support. This runs alongside nutrition and hygiene education, to help communities become self-sustaining and give them the tools for healthier decision making and more diverse diets.
