Nutrition for Malnourished Children

In the remote rural villages of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, life is a daily struggle for survival for many families living below the poverty line. Among them are 30 young children, between the ages of 7 months to 6 years, who are battling severe malnutrition. Born into families of landless laborers and daily wage earners, these children lack access to adequate nutrition, clean drinking water, and quality healthcare.

For these families, even basic meals are uncertain. With limited income, parents are often forced to prioritize survival over nutrition, leading to stunted growth, weak immunity, and vulnerability to diseases among their children. According to surveys conducted by our organization, more than 60% of children in these areas are underweight, and cases of anemia and vitamin deficiencies are alarmingly high.

Our organization, Lok Sewa evam Grameen Proudyogiki Vikas Sansthan, has been working in these underserved communities for over 35 years, focusing on improving health, education, and livelihoods. Through our field visits, we identified these 30 malnourished children who need immediate nutritional intervention to survive and thrive.
