There is a strong need for Indian athletes to be supported with world-class training facilities in order to prepare them to win an Olympic and Paralympic medal. OGQ aims to identify the best talent at a very young age and then ensuring that they have the best training facilities, coaching and other needs to make them into Olympic and Paralympic champions. Every medal won will bring immense pride to the nation and create role models who will then inspire the younger generation to win medals for the country. The OGQ project is a movement towards nation-building and creating role models.

The issues is important because of the following reason:

• India’s asset is its youth and we need positive role models to inspire them to work to the fullest potential in their respective fields. With the advent of the digital age, young kids are moving away from an active lifestyle and are pulled towards a sedentary lifestyle. Sport promotes health and fitness and encourages the youth to be passionate and follow their ambition. Thus, the sport will inspire young kids and help towards nation-building.

Key components of the project are:

1. Identifying the best foreign coaches for the athletes and ensuring the training happens at a world class level in order to prepare the athletes for the Olympic Games.
2. Identifying the equipment requirements of the athletes.
3. Ensuring OGQ’s sports science team is working closely with the athletes on fitness, nutrition and psychology.
4. Working with the athletes to ensure that they take part in tournaments and training, both national and international, to improve their performance.

After analyzing these parameters, the OGQ team extends support to the athletes for the following:

1. Foreign and domestic coaching.
2. Sports Science support – Psychologists, Strength & conditioning trainers, nutritionist, physiotherapists, injury rehab, nutritional supplements & any other medical support.
3. Domestic & international training & tournaments.
4. World-class equipment & kits.

OGQ's mission is to help Indian athletes and para athletes win Olympic and Paralympic Gold medals. Winning Olympic medals brings great pride to the nation. Beyond medals, OGQ is creating positive role models and champions, especially girls that inspire million other young kids to take up sports and harness the power of sport to empower themselves.
