On a Mission to Digitalize Social Work Practices

The app is designed to bridge the gap between people and NGOs. Underprivileged people don't have access to resources or services which are available to them through the various government and non-governmental institutions. Generally, NGOs reach out to people but people never had the option to reach out to NGOs. Also, only the target segment identified by an NGO gets the benefits. With our mobile app and community agents on the ground, underprivileged people can now reach out and raise a concern. We believe that such people should have a right to raise a concern rather than wait for their problems for NGOs to approach them. With our network of NGOs and volunteers, we make sure that the concerns we receive on a daily basis are resolved in no time

Idea as a solution

We believe that many social issues are solvable, but that many individuals are unaware of how to obtain or use the resources that are accessible to them through various non-governmental Organizations and government agencies. Many underprivileged people have been able to reach out, raise a concern, and get it resolved through our NGO partner and governmental agencies thanks to our one-stop mobile app and network of community agents on the ground. Because there are so many NGOs (4 for every 1000 people in urban areas and 2.5 for every 1000 people in rural areas), if one is unable to address a certain issue, we collaborate with another NGO that specialises in that area.

Using tech to scale

Through our digital platform, we can reach out to every nook and cranny of the city. Our smartphone app is used by Asha Workers (community agents) who are present in practically all of a city’s slums. When they come across someone who is concerned, they not only raise a concern on their behalf but also educate them on how to raise a concern in the future.

we are here to fill the gap between underprivileged people and welfare services provided by NGOs and government institutions by leveraging technology. It is not possible for NGOs to visit each and every community, therefore, we are leveraging technology to reach out to communities, so that they can raise a concern in the thematic areas of health, education, human rights, disability, elderly, skill and livelihood and more. Once the concern is received, we with the help of our NGO partner who has specialisation in that particular concern resolve the concern.
