OSAAT Digital School Infrastructure (ODiSI)

The majority of the population of India resides in its villages. About 120 million children attend government schools, mostly in rural and semi-urban regions. Access to education for these children is limited due to poor infrastructure, inadequate teacher training, and a lack of improvements in teaching methods; especially digital learning. Digital learning tools and technologies have not reached the far corners of a vast majority of primary school children, where learning can be accelerated. OSAAT seeks to solve this challenge with its ODiSI program. 

OSAAT wishes to address this problem by bringing together hardware, software vendors and a systems integrator under one umbrella through its digital learning program called "ODiSI" which is managed & supervised by OSAAT. OSAAT has designed, implemented and executed ODiSI making contemporary education within the reach of rural children. This project was initially designed to address post-COVID 19 pandemic challenges related to delivering public education to rural children by creating and supporting a digital infrastructure highway for the delivery of best-of-world content and pedagogy.

In the current FY 2022 - 23, the ODiSI project is expected to impact about 20,000+ students across 100+ rural/semi-urban schools in Karnataka. The average cost of providing the required infrastructure costs about Rs. 4,000.00 per year per student over a period of 3 years which includes the cost of hardware, network expenses, managerial expenses, pedagogy and technology support which is fully supported by OSAAT. Devices are used for curriculum-based hybrid mode learning and are managed by a system integrator contracted by OSAAT® who meets criteria set by OSAAT® and is capable of implementing OSAAT®’s playbook for ODiSI.
