Parichay

The reduced focus on arts education also results in reduced opportunities for holistic learning. The current education system also has less space for learning of traditional music and dance. Children today have less and less opportunities to access the healing benefits of traditional music and dance practice. 

Parichay is the second step in which children are given an immersive experience through engaging workshops where children understand traditional music and dance by learning, which in turn makes children capable of understanding the depth and rigour of these art forms. Parichay becomes a platform for the children to delve deep into the knowledge system of the art forms by artists whose journey becomes their guide to take the baby steps towards disciplined art practice. 

Parichay allows the movement from experience (Anubhav) to understanding. It is designed in such a way that nuances of an art is extrapolated to the children through the challenges and joys of the artists and also widens the perspective that a child has about an artform, which was once heard, but now reachable to them. Thus, it becomes an immersive experience for children.
