We believe that social and economic constraints should never stand in the way of young people accessing equal opportunities to play, build life-skills to thrive for life.
Many of our youth coaches were once participants themselves, young people empowered by the program who now lead and support the next generation. Their journeys embody the spirit of #PassItAhead: sharing from what we have, creating a sustainable community of growth, and celebrating the ripple effect where each child passes ahead the gift of confidence, leadership, and opportunity.
Over the last 6 years we have:
1. Worked with over 6200 of Children across 12 states through various programs
2. Facilitated 4500 hours of life-skills programs in schools and communities
3. Collaborated with 106+ organisations to make this possible
4. Supported 7 young people in being selected for various Indian National Ultimate Frisbee teams.
5. Celebrated 4 of them representing India at the World Ultimate Championships in Gold Coast in 2024.
6. Supported 11 GK MAD program participants to become first-generation college graduates. 13 more are following their footsteps and enrolled in college now.
7. Been featured in BBC India, TEDx, and DD News (Feature 1 | Feature 2 ), highlighting Y-Ultimate’s journey, impact, and the transformative power of Ultimate Frisbee.
We have witnessed how limited accessibility and affordability prevent many talented young people from participating in Ultimate Frisbee tournaments in India. Now, we dream of a platform where youth from our programs and other development organizations across India can come together to play, learn, and grow. These tournaments will provide a quality safe space for young people to showcase their talents, build confidence, and learn from peers. We aim to do so by conducting 4 tournaments and starting a National coalition for Sport for Development through Ultimate Frisbee.
#PassItAhead invites everyone who believes in the power of sport to transform lives to join us in passing ahead the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive. Together, we can extend these treasured experiences to young people who may not otherwise have access to them. #PassItAhead is about sharing from what we have, creating a sustainable community of growth.
Where will the funds be used?
We aim to have over 700 young participants from our life-skills programs and partner organizations across India joining various events. Your support will directly enable their participation by covering travel, accommodation, setup of fields, water, physiotherapists, food, trophies, medals, certificates, and live-streaming. Live-streaming matches will allow families, friends, and donors to witness the impact of the programs they support, amplifying visibility and community engagement. Here is the detailed breakdown of the same.
If funds received fall short of the target budget, we shall optimise for maximum participation with limited tournament features.
If funds raised exceed the budget for tournaments, the surplus will support our ongoing life-skills programs. Together, we can make sport more accessible, inclusive, and empowering for India's youth.
