Mrs. Henrietta Lacks, born on the 1st of August 1920, is an unsung warrior, who battled aggressive cervical cancer till her last breath, on 4th October 1951. But she did not know that the root of cure to many types of cancer was inside her body! <img src="https://cfstatic.give.do/f01261be-a5f5-44e2-a825-47df2d2b1d54.webp" />'HeLa' cells were the cells derived from the cervical tumor of Mrs. Henrietta Lacks, have aided in the studies of taking the man to the moon, or even studying the poliovirus. We must all take a step forward to honor Mrs. Henrietta Lacks, for the great personality she was, who endured great pain just to give humanity a medicinal gain. This donation is intended to support cancer research, raising cancer awareness and funding the treatment of cancer patients. Every little donation makes a huge difference!

<ul><li>Project Ganga Prem Hospice (GPH) was initiated in 2005 under the aegis of Shradha Cancer Care Trust, a registered and fully charitable Indian trust. The stated vision of the Trust and Ganga Prem Hospice is to help alleviate the physical and psychological discomfort associated with progressive and incurable cancer in Uttarakhand and India.</li><li>We are a charitable hospice for terminally ill cancer patients. The hospice provides medical, social, emotional and spiritual support for individuals and their loved ones as they face life-threatening cancer, and in their ongoing grief.</li><li>As the first non-profit registered medical institute (RMI) in palliative care in India, GPH India mobilises and manages its services through a functional hospice facility in village Gohri Maphi in Raiwala, Rishikesh. The village is situated at the foot of the Himalayas near the city of Rishikesh, which is known for its culture and the many established holistic care centres.</li><li>Our hospice facility was commissioned in 2017 and is currently equipped to provide best-in-class hospice care to up to 15 (fifteen) in-patients suffering from end-stage cancer.</li></ul>
