Campaign by Nirmalya Trust
We need to help 50 children with disabilities, who are in need of physiotherapy sessions.
These are children from remote villages in Parner Taluka, in Ahmednagar district.
They were receiving physiotherapy regularly prior to the onset of the COVID pandemic.
Now, buses aren't plying regularly, and other transport is unavailable. There have been deaths in the families during the pandemic.
The families are struggling financially. These children are often left alone with no proper care - family members have to work to make ends meet.
The children are physically challenged. Their limbs have become stiff. Movement is troublesome and painful. Health is deteriorating.
They need physiotherapy.
Nirmalya Trust will provide physiotherapy to each child - once a week, every week, for 4 months (i.e. 16 weeks) at their homes.
A total of 800 sessions for 50 children will be conducted over these 4 months.
Each session will cost ₹500/- inclusive of conveyance, therapy charges, drinking water, and any special equipment.
We need to raise funds for 800 physiotherapy sessions @ Rs. 500/- each = ₹4,00,000 (Rupees 4 lakhs).
Direct Impact:
Our goal first and foremost is to help revive the mental and physical health of these 50 children.
Providing physiotherapy for the children will reduce the anxiety and stress of the families.
Indirect Impact:
When other families with similar problems hear of this program and see the results that it bears, they also will be motivated to help their own children with physiotherapy.
