Poor Agricultural women seed support

Sudha Lakshmi is a resilient single mother from Assur village, facing immense challenges after losing her husband in a construction accident in Dubai. With a young child to support and limited resources, Sudha struggled to make ends meet in her thatch house.

Last year, through Safe Hands Trust, she received vegetable seeds to start a kitchen garden. This initiative transformed her life. By cultivating vegetables, Sudha was able to harvest around 10 kg daily, generating an income of 150 to 200 rupees. This newfound financial stability allowed her to provide better nutrition for her child and invest in education.

Sudha's story is one of empowerment, showcasing how access to resources can uplift marginalized women and strengthen communities. With the support of Safe Hands, she is not just surviving; she is thriving. Her journey inspires many in the 30 villages served by the organization, demonstrating the impact of sustainable livelihoods.
