People living around Damana Wildlife Sanctuary suffer a number of issues as a result of the sanctuary's location in an elephant-prone area. Among these are frequent human-wildlife conflicts, agricultural damage, property loss, anxiety, and restricted economic options. However, by offering an alternative source of income for locals, reducing reliance on agriculture, acting as a deterrent for elephants, and supporting sustainable practises and conservation efforts, beekeeping training can help address some of these difficulties. Beekeeping instruction can help reduce the likelihood of conflict and enhance the lifestyles of people living near the refuge by generating economic opportunities and fostering coexistence between humans and wildlife.
As an organization, we are planning to give training to farmers on beekeeping. This initiative will help reduce animal-human conflict, increase pollination, promote biodiversity, and enhance crop yields. Moreover, it will also create an opportunity for farmers to generate income through bee products like honey, wax etc.
Our beekeeping training for farmers will result in reduced animal-human conflict, increased pollination, promoted biodiversity, and enhanced crop yields. This will lead to sustainable agriculture, economic empowerment for farmers, and a positive impact on the environment. Join us in creating a brighter future for rural communities.
