Promotion of research, capacity-building activities in contemporary areas of India-China's and dissemination of output amongst stakeholders

The bilateral relationship between India and China has become increasingly complex and significant. Traditional areas which are the forte of the government such as diplomacy, military and security are receiving a lot of attention. However, in other areas, where academia and industry are expected to take the lead, there is a dire need for more research and capacity building activities. Such areas include trade and investment, technology, data governance and law. 

ICS intends to expand its research and capacity building activities in contemporary areas such as trade and investment, technology, data governance and law by supporting more research activities, disseminating output within academia and industry, building capacity within stakeholders such as universities, industry players and government agencies. 

We would like to train talent and nurture skills that can augment India’s ability to engage with China in a variety of fields that are not primarily driven by government support.
