Protect the Protectors

The steps taken by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to contain the spread of Corona Virus disease in Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum sprawl, during the First wave in 2020 has earned the praise of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Inspite of the commendable, courageous work and efforts done by the doctors, nursing staff, paramedical staff, staff at COVID Care Centres, Sanitation workers, Ambulance Drivers, Municipal Office staff, and the volunteers during 2020, the situation on ground is still challenging. Frontline workers are at a higher risk of contracting the disease due to the change in virulence of the COVID-19 virus. 

Procure and provide PPE Kits, Gloves, 3 Ply Face Masks, N95 Masks, Thermal Infra Red Guns, Pulse Oximeters and Oxygen Concentrators for self protection,, examination of the poor patients in the slums as well as in Covid Care Centres.

Knowing this risk and being in the centre of it, these frontline workers have not given up. The teams are spread all across Dharavi, Mahim and Dadar in Maharashtra that have witnessed a surge in the new COVID-19 cases. We are all indebted to them and it is our duty to protect these frontline workers. Therefore, we would like to continue to protect and strengthen the Frontline warriors to help reach out the residents in Dharavi, Dadar and Mahim localities and win the fight against the Corona Virus during this Second Wave.
