Story

India becomes the first country in the world to record 4 lakh cases in 24 hours, with recorded death toll rising to 3,523. This has led to the World Health Organization (WHO) Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus commenting on the deteriorating COVID-19 situation in India who said that the current crisis is a 'devastating reminder' of what the virus can do. Due to the rising cases of COVID-19, the healthcare system is overburdened and a lot of patients are not able to get hospital beds, Oxygen supply, and other supplies on time, which is leading to the rising death toll. This devastating second wave of coronavirus in India has seen hospitals getting overwhelmed with rising number of COVID-19 patients, leading to widespread shortages of bed, oxygen and other supplies. The country now has the greatest demand for oxygen out of all other low, lower-middle and upper-middle-income countries, according to the PATH Oxygen Needs Tracker.

COVID-19 cases are rising in India, and a lot of critical patients are not able to get the required Oxygen supply on time. Primary reason of death is observed to be lack of Oxygen supply for most of the patients. Hence, NF will provide Oxygen Concentrators to critical patients PAN India.
