In the remote desert district of Barmer, Rajasthan, many persons with severe lower limb disabilities face serious mobility challenges. Due to sandy terrain, scattered villages, poor road connectivity, and poverty, many individuals with double amputations or severe locomotor disabilities are often confined to their homes.
Manual wheelchairs are difficult to use in desert conditions, forcing many persons with disabilities to depend completely on family members for movement. This limits their access to healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and participation in everyday community life.
Through this initiative, we aim to provide 50 electric wheelchairs to economically vulnerable persons with severe mobility impairments in rural Barmer.
An electric wheelchair is more than a mobility device — it restores dignity, independence, and confidence. With powered mobility, beneficiaries will be able to travel within their villages, access health services, visit markets, and participate more actively in society.
Each electric wheelchair costs ₹50,000.
Total project requirement: ₹25,00,000 for 50 beneficiaries.
Your support can directly transform lives:
₹50,000 sponsors one electric wheelchair.
Any contribution helps bring someone closer to independence.
Together, we can ensure that disability does not mean isolation.
