Story

A nation’s sports performance and recognition are often judged upon its medal counts and presence in varied events worldwide.

Talking about India’s Sporting ecosystem, one thing that still seems deficient is the availability of basic infrastructure and technical guidance to each grassroots athlete who aspires to have an athletic career and win laurels for the country!

By making all such facilities accessible, the Abhinav Bindra Foundation aims at helping these talented and diligent athletes to attain that 1% edge difference in their Sports Performance!

With high-performance being an integral part of the athlete’s life, our initiatives integrate the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Analytics and Medicine) Philosophy and Expert Guidance Programmes from across the world exclusively designed to foster their holistic growth. These include:

  • Athlete Mental Wellness Sessions with the noted Mental Health Experts and Life Coaches.
  • STEAM Scholarship Programme to help these meritorious athletes enhance their performance, manage injuries better and focus on excelling in their sport. Many athletes from PDCSE, Anjali Bhagwat Shooting Academy, Dolphin Swimming Academy have been part of this programme.
  • Diet and Nutrition have a profound impact on the athlete’s stamina and strength. In association with Lami. Fit, the foundation provides each athlete with personalised diet consultation and knowledge sessions.
  • Performance Stress, anxiety, etc. can be the major factors that affect an athlete’s sleep pattern, thereby impacting the performance. In association with Sleep Moksha, the foundation provides for personalised Sleep Optimization sessions for each athlete.

By working on minute physical and mental health details & helping them excel in their performance, the Foundation’s mission is to help grassroots athletes pursue their athletic career, gain exposure to the performance standards prevalent worldwide and mark traces in the tournaments/events which were earlier difficult for Indian Athletes to qualify!

  • Since the beginning of this initiative, we've supported around 50 Athletes in technology-driven high-performance training and eventually attaining success by winning Medals at various levels and in varied sports!
  • Our athletes have also performed tremendously well at the Khelo India Youth Games and South Asian Games by grabbing a medal count of 15 and 9 respectively!
