Providing K-12 education to poor school students of Aurangabad, Bihar

The school was reaching the level of self-sustainability in session 2019-20. Due to Covid, we had a severe impact on the learning and finances of our initiative. Many of the students left school and many remaining are not able to pay the fees. The school has become totally dependent on donations to keep paying partial salaries to all the engaged staff and meet CBSE affiliation norms. It will need support till Jan-Feb'23 to continue its operations.

We have somehow managed to run the school with donations for the last 21 months with minimal fee support. But we are reaching an end to the funds we were able to raise and need more support till the situation is normal again for schools.

We need more support to continue the education and the achievements that our village school students have achieved at the National, state and district levels in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities. We have been able to provide quality with a lot of sacrifices of everyone involved and need support to sustain probably till session 2022-23 starts when everything is normal again.

We are currently directly supporting 200 students and around 30 staff members. We expect new admissions to push the student's numbers beyond 300, which can help in getting some support from fees.

Our students with poor and rural backgrounds have done very well even at India level contests and if we stop supporting them, they will suffer a lot. Also if we are able to take care of immediate issues due to Covid, and when things return to normal, we have got a pledge of increasing our infrastructure to support 750+ students and already have plans to support government schools near us with laboratories and libraries for further increasing our impact.

Also, we are engaging other school students in the district with competitions to further improve the level of learning.
