R2R -Return to Roots Fellowships

Villages and small towns have been hit hard in the crisis of returning migrant families. This return has adverse impact tin many ways. Pressure on local resources increases while available income and cash flows decrease. Families look to government support for rations and wage labour. However they are in urgent need of other services as well. schooling and education are hard hit and local health services are inadequate to deal with COVID as well as the illnesses prevalent there. There is urgent need to meet needs for such basic services. Each location has different needs, and the solutions have to be hyper local.

We will identify and facilitate change- makers, especially women and youth, to step in and address such needs. We will offer micro incubation support which includes processes to assess local needs and identify small business opportunities in services like health care, education, waste management. we have our network of anchors who will work closely with them helping them shape up their enterprises. As the process concludes these R2R fellwos will be running viable service enterprises to fill gaps not serviced by other players ( commercial official or charitable )

20 fellowships will help create and stabilise 20 enterprises in resource poor communities to bridge last mile gaps in services like education, community health
