Raising Funds To Feed Children With Cancer Hot Meals - Bhavya Churiwal, Aahan Gopalkrishnan, Rudra Hazari

This Fundraiser Is a Joint Effort between Bhavya Churiwal, Aahan Gopalkrishnan, and Rudra Hazari from the 2026 IB Batch of Hill Spring International School.

Our Purpose:

Every child deserves to live a healthy and joyous life. This bright future is only full of challenges for children fighting cancer. Our fundraiser aims to support these brave young fighters by raising money to address a critical need:the provision of hot, nutritious meals.

Cancer treatment overloads and complicates the life of a child, as well as the entire family. The financial burden involved may be overwhelming to the point where basic needs are not even met. This event creates an opportunity for our community to come forward and alleviate this burden a bit more. By gathering funds, we can contribute directly to the well-being of those young children, provide support not just financially, but emotionally through the feeling of solidarity and care.

A hot meal is much more than just food. A hot meal provides warmth, comfort, and nourishment. Many families undergoing the stress of cancer treatment find it difficult to maintain a balanced diet. They are provided meals so that children and their families have the energy to face the battles ahead.

Together, we can offer hope, sympathy, or practical help to those who need it. Let's unite around a cause that really does make a difference – a meal, a rupee, a smile at a time.

As part of our CAS project, apart from raising funds to provide hot meals to children with cancer, we plan to conduct visits to hospitals and do activities such as caricatures, games and performed for the children, as an attempt to cut away from the tough battle they are facing.

“Coming from a sheltered family, I’ve always had the privilege of enjoying hot meals daily, something I now realize is not a guarantee for everyone. The thought of not even having one warm meal a day is deeply unsettling, and it scares me to imagine such uncertainty. This is especially heartbreaking for underprivileged students battling cancer, who already endure immense hardships. Providing meals through this fundraiser is my way of ensuring they experience the comfort and nourishment they need during such a challenging time.”

Aahan Gopalkrishnan:

“As an IB student, I believe in taking action to create a meaningful impact. Donating to children battling cancer resonates deeply with me because their resilience reminds me of the value of health and support during challenging times. This cause is particularly sensitive to me as I’ve witnessed how illness can disrupt not only health but also the comfort and stability we often take for granted. Raising money to provide hot meals to these children gives me a sense of purpose and hope, knowing I can contribute to their physical well-being. It also reminds me of the power of compassion and community in uplifting others.”

Bhavya Churiwal:

“I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. Over the past two years, I have organized two successful fundraisers, raising over 80,000 rupees to support those in need. This year, I am continuing my efforts to provide hot, nutritious meals for children undergoing cancer treatment. With each fundraiser, I’ve seen the power of community and compassion, and I am committed to ensuring these children feel supported, cared for, and never alone in their journey.”
