Story

In Kukra Village of Chiraigaon Block, Varanasi, lives the family of Jeetu Banvasi, a daily wage worker who is physically disabled and struggles to support his family with limited earning opportunities. Despite his determination to work, irregular employment and low wages make it difficult to meet even the most basic needs of the household.

Jeetu lives with his wife, Gudiya Banvasi, their four young children, and his elderly mother. The family's situation is especially challenging because three of the children are visually impaired. Jyoti (15), Brijmohan (14), and Bantu (7) face significant barriers in accessing education, healthcare, and opportunities for a better future. The youngest child, Khushi (6), also grows up in an environment marked by extreme poverty and uncertainty.

The family resides in a dilapidated house that leaks during the rainy season. They do not have a toilet, access to safe drinking water is inadequate, and the pathway to their home is difficult and unsafe. Incomplete documentation and gaps in government records have further limited their access to social welfare benefits and essential services.

When MASS learned about the family's condition, we immediately began working with them to address their most urgent needs. Our team has supported them in accessing welfare entitlements, connecting with local authorities, and improving their living conditions. While some progress has been made, much more remains to be done.

With your support, we aim to help this family secure safe housing, basic sanitation, access to healthcare, educational support for the children, and improved livelihood opportunities. Your contribution can help restore dignity, security, and hope to a family that has faced years of hardship.

Together, we can ensure that Jeetu Banvasi and his family receive the opportunity to live with dignity and build a better future.

We are raising funds to support the care and dignified living of elderly residents at Shri Shyam Old Age Ashram.

Your contribution will help provide nutritious food, medicines, clothing, and safe shelter.

At this stage of life, they need compassion, care, and a sense of belonging.

Even a small donation can bring comfort, dignity, and smiles to their lives.
