Story

  1. Cuddalore is recorded under the most backward 256 districts in India and it is a disaster prone region too. 
  2. The small and marginal farming communities of Cuddalore are highly indebted as the cost of cultivation in their current chemical based practices are very high. 
  3. Because of continuous chemical farming activities, the soil becomes dead & saline and the fatigue soils’ productivity is drastically reduced. 
  4. Due to mono cropping practices farmers don’t have bargaining power at the markets, their farming becomes a gamble and economically unviable. 
  5. Malnutrition is very high among the rural communities as they have less access to balanced and nutritive diet. 
  6. Rural landless women folk have very minimum job roles and opportunities, hence poverty remains at its peak. 
  7. The distressed farmers end in migration, searching for meagre jobs in the city, thus lot of cumulative problems keep on increasing because of loss of livelihoods and urbanization

  1. Inspire has developed and designed a three day intensive farmers skill development programme and trains the most vulnerable farming communities in progressive sustainable farming methods. 
  2. So far inspire has trained 12 lakhs+ farming communities all over India and develop these farming people self reliant and confident. 
  3. Through the skill development programme, we transfer skills and techniques such as soil fertility management, compost making, microbial liquid formulations for soil enrichment, water management, organic ways of raising poly crops, benefits of integrated farming, ecological ways of pest & disease control, productivity increase approaches and how to increase overall farm economics in a sustainable way. 
  4. The training sessions are participatory and practical oriented. Hence the knowledge transfer is speedy and efficient. 
  5. There are only limited opportunities available for a farmer to gain knowledge and exposure on sustainable farming practices. Inspire is dedicated itself to support and empower the farming communities to make their livelihood self reliant and resilient through its consciously developed skill training programme. 
  6. Inspire is committed for the follow up activities and supports the farmer to successfully demonstrate the learnt techniques and sustain their livelihood.

  1. Land reclamation in the above district completed by Inspire’s organic farming approaches. 
  2. Our Ecological and organic farming techniques will improve soil fertility and increases productivity many folds. 
  3. Through our farming method, the cost of cultivation decreases very much at the same time the farm economics will improve very much. 
  4. Empowerment of farmers and their families through sustainable farming adaptation. 
  5. Empowerment of women laborers and helping them develop more job opportunities by providing value addition activities.
  6. By the introduction of our mixed cropping patterns the farmers have more bargaining power in the markets and also the malnutrition problem of the rural families are very much addressed.
  7. Through our skill development and skill transfer program the farmers gain confidence and marching towards self-reliant.
  8. The consumers will get poison free organic food, the farming soils and the water resources will be free from chemical contamination.
  9. Farming ecosystem will be restored and food security, food sovereignty of the communities will be addressed.
