There are 224.6 million girl children in India under the age of 18 years. Out of which 58.6 million are between 14-18 years.
1 in every 5 girls enrolled, drops out after class 8.
12.5 million girls between 5-18 years are engaged in child labour.8.9 million out of the 12.15 million married children in India are girls.
CRY works at the grass-root level with supported projects across India to address the factors that come in the way of girl children not being able to access their right to education.Our approach includes - Providing access to equitable and quality education ,
Mobilising and empowering parents and communities ,making stakeholders understand the importance of education.
CRY believes in igniting the fire that will help light the path for not only themselves but many other. Through this campaign we plan to impact communities to take action and help girls to dare to dream and make those dreams a reality
