Rising Tree Enlighten Centre for Girls

We are working in the most backward area of Jharkhand state, India. People of this region are extremely marginalised in terms of getting basic amenities. Schooling is the first and foremost foundation of any society. Here people have two options either to send their children to Govt. school or Private school. Govt. school is not sufficient to cater to for the need and private school are out of their reach due to heavy fees. Very few dare to send their children to school but limited to boys child but not to the girl child due to economic and patriarchy mindset. So our focus is to educate the girl child.

We are going to start a specific Girl school at Mokamo one of the remotest village in the Giridih District of Jharkhand. The girls from marginalised families unable to get proper education, knowledge & skills. So, we are opening an “ Enlighten Centre for Girls” in which we would offer them opportunities to enhance their capabilities through different modes & methods. We have also hired a Lady Teacher and some Volunteers to give tutoring and other necessary training & supports. Finance is the bloodstream of life so to run any institution need financial support to operationalised our dream project. 

The target group we are going to cater to is extremely deprived sections of society in terms of accessing basic schooling. We would offer them not only schooling but quality education & learning opportunities through our "Enlightenment Centre". The rural society is very conservative, their preferences always remain to male child education. Our focus would be both to enlighten society through an awareness campaign and to make them realise that girl education is also important, without educating girls you can not develop a prosperous society.
