We operate at the intersection of social security, education, active citizenship, and leadership development—building pathways that connect policy with people, and aspiration with opportunity.Our journey began in 2011 with a single story of exclusion: Roshni, a young girl, was forced to leave school simply because she had begun menstruating. That encounter revealed the everyday costs of systemic gaps, sparking a movement that has since grown into Samavesh. Today, rooted in lived experience and led by community changemakers, we work across rural blocks, urban communities, and public institutions to close the gap between rights promised and rights realised.Our Core ProgramsSamavesh Centres: Civic access centres anchored by trained grassroots fellows (paralegals), enabling communities to access social security, welfare schemes, and scholarships.Samavesh Scholars: A mentoring and higher-education support program guiding first-generation learners from marginalised backgrounds to access, navigate, and succeed in universities and beyond.After-School Program: Academic and life-skills support spaces for adolescents that strengthen foundational learning, nurture career aspirations, and build informed pathways for the future.Samavesh Champions: A sport and creative expression initiative that fosters life skills, resilience, and mental well-being through play, movement, and arts.Our Approach: Across all programs, our work is people-powered, tech-enabled, and outcome-driven.
