Reconstruction of RCC wall and toilets of gurukul

The Earth Saviours Foundation is an internationally recognized NGO located in Gurugram – running an old age home and a rescue center for 500 abandoned people. It is painful to come across a large number of mentally disabled people on roads. Often they have been observed eating from stinking garbage, having no bath for years, no shelter to live and walking bare feet with torn or no clothes on their body. These individuals have no family to look after them and deserve a decent life in their old age.

Since most of the residents are in medically critical condition. We are mobilizing the doctors and nurses to come to our NGO on a daily basis. The doctors are always taking care of all the inmates who are staying full time in our Gurukul. They are giving proper attention towards taking care of their medical check-ups and prescriptions given by hospitals (Safdarjung hospital, AIIMS hospital) and IHBAS (Institute of Human Behavior & Allied Sciences).

There is no hospitals within the radius of 30-40 km from the Gurukul. We regularly need doctors and nurses for the rescued abandoned senior citizens and mentally disabled people who are in need of immediate medical help. Sometimes when we rescue patients who need urgent treatment but lot of times they are found dead by the time we take them to hospitals. Thus we decided to hire doctors and nurses on per day basis.

Every month we reserve a part of the donations for the salaries of doctors and nurses. It is very important for us to retain the doctors and nurses and not let them leave. We just had 2 doctors and 3 nurses three months back which was not sufficient to cater to 500 people living in our Gurukul but today we have 6 doctors and 8 nurses coming to our Gurukul. They not only look after the people staying there but also the ones who is rescued by our team. These doctors are helping us take care of those patients who are on death bed, fighting with incurable diseases and who are neglected by our society. There are lot of other expenses borne by our NGO on the people staying in our Gurukul which includes food, clothing, electricity, maintenance, medicines, ambulance, office and compliance expenses, etc The salaries of six doctors and eight nurses which totals to 37.2 lakhs per year take away a huge part of our donations which leaves us with little amount for other expenses.
