My name is Apu Gharami, Founder of Bharati Kala Research & Training Council (BKRTC).

For more than 10 years, I have dedicated my life to providing completely free cultural education in art, craft, music, dance, drama, and yoga to underprivileged children, women, and young artists across India.

So far, over 5,000 artists and students have been supported, trained, and guided through BKRTC initiatives, many of whom would otherwise have been forced to abandon their creative dreams.

I have personally witnessed how poverty destroys talent.

Children with extraordinary artistic ability are forced to leave education—not because they lack skill, but because their families cannot afford fees, materials, or proper training.

This is not just a social problem; it is a national loss of culture, heritage, and creativity.

To stop this loss, I founded BKRTC with one clear promise:

No gifted child should lose their future because of money.

What We Are Building

Our long-term vision is to establish a National Art & Cultural University, where financially weak students will:

• Learn from qualified and experienced teachers
• Receive nationally recognized certificates
• Get scholarships and free professional training
• Turn their artistic passion into a stable and dignified career

This initiative aims to take India’s culture and traditional arts to the global stage.

The Reality We Are Facing

For the last 10 months, BKRTC has been operating without receiving a single donation or grant.

For 6 continuous months, donation campaigns and online appeals were shared—but not even one rupee was received.

Till today, every expense is being paid personally by me, including:

• Office rent
• Staff support
• Program and training costs
• Administrative expenses

I continue because stopping would mean abandoning thousands of dreams.

But the truth is simple and painful:

An organization built for public welfare cannot survive forever on one person’s savings.
