Save Mothers

Meera Satpathy Founder Sukarya says - Mothers are truly a ‘Gift of God’. Because sometimes the strength of Motherhood is greater than natural laws. She defies all norms and takes the entire responsibility to make a child a successful human being. I know for sure if we take strong steps to save and protect them who are underprivileged, they will take care of the rest. So, this Mother’s Day Sukarya is renewing it’s 23 years commitment to “Giving Women the power to safeguard their own health and life first.”

If a mother is malnourished during pregnancy, or if her child is malnourished during the first two years of life, their physical and mental growth and development may be slowed. This damage incurred cannot be repaired at a later date and continues to affect the child throughout their life.

Sukarya, is working on issues of Maternal Child Health & Nutrition (postnatal and prenatal services, promotion of institutional deliveries, safe mother hood, breast feeding and spacing for pregnancies, anemia and malnutrition) in some of the most backward and underserved areas of Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi since 1998.

We are running a campaign this month to raise funds for our Maternal Child Health and Nutrition Programme. This is to honour and respect the contribution of a mother for her family. Let's contribute to strengthen the poor mother who sees beautiful dreams about her children.
