Main cause for Environment destruction is ignorance. People indulge in many activities because they don't know about the damage their actions are causing to Nature. When people are educated about importance of Ecology, Biodiversity, Sustainability they will get more cautious and minimise their negative impact on the Earth Natural Resources. They will switch to eco friendly ways of living. 

Much of the harm to the ENVIRONMENT is caused by humans most of which is irreversible. There is an urgent need to protect the ecology. This can ONLY be achieved by changing the collective mindset from ignorance to education, and pushing the aware people towards action. Babul NGO is engaged in spreading awareness along the 3 verticals - Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development, using videos, social media and traditional advocacy. We are slowly and steadily making progress towards a less ignorant, more proactive society by doing many eco-awareness projects.

FunDuChallenge spreads awareness about Fundamental Duty of citizens to protect Nature using a simple easy to do online challenge. A lot of progress is made and you can find this by searching the net with hashtag #funduchallenge

How to make people more sensitive towards Nature? The answer is to spread awareness, and more awareness in a compelling way to ensure action. Though this takes a long time, making a beginning is a must. Funduchallenge in a step in that direction. The Constitution of India guarantees the citizens many Fundamental Rights and we all enjoys them, knowingly or unknowingly. But we conveniently forget about the FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES given in the same Constitution. One of these duties is to PROTECT NATURE. FunDuChallenge - FUNdamental DUty Challenge aims to do this in a fun way, easy to understand and simple to do. It is an online challenge to ensure easy participation and designed keeping in view the needs of today’s Social Media. Participant can record video reading the fundamental duty text in his / her choice of Indian Language, post it in any one or more social media platforms nominating friends to take up the challenge. Hashtag #funduchallenge enables searching of FDC video posts. However, we need to motivate volunteers spread all over India to realise FDC videos in different languages and promote them.This requires doing many things Involving expenditure. Hence this fundraiser.

FunDuChallenge was launched in Jan 2020 and could make decent dent in the ignorance of people and enhanced awareness. We did mega events on Republic Day 26 Jan [2020 2021] , Independence Day 15 Aug 2020 and 26 Nov 2020 Constitution Day. We did good work with very limited resources. FDC is picked up by Department of Justice Govt of India and recommended to Prime Minister Office for inclusion in Man Ki Baat. So far more than 500 videos are uploaded in 6 languages with over 50,000 views. Considering the huge work of sensitising about 100 crore Indians, we need to find a more systematic way to do this. For higher outreach that is cost-effective and to do FunDuChallenge in innovative and creative way, we seek your support. Till now we could only conduct less physical events, webinars. With the lockdown restrictions easing we are planning to do more on-ground live events involving students and regular virtual engagements to rope in more people. Volunteers are motivated remotely and guided how to do the events, training is given to prepare their own kits like cloth banners, FDC Text placards with Camera holes etc., All this is possible ONLY with YOUR support.
