School Kits for Children in Need

Schools in Kerala are reopening in the online mode in June. Children need school accessories like notebooks, textbooks, pens, pencils, etc.along with digital and electronic devices. Since the beginning of the pandemic, many families have lost their means of livelihood, Now, with the second wave hitting the state badly, they are struggling for survival. In this situation, it is nearly impossible for many to support the school needs of the child.

ATMA Foundation is mobilising resources to provide school accessories to 1000 children from underprivileged backgrounds. The kits will include notebooks and pens, and other items as per need. Last year, ATMA Foundation had provided school kits worth over INR 1000 to 620 children in 13 villages. This year, the kits will also be provided to children residing in Children's Homes and other child care institutions. Some can be helped with digital devices as well.

Children will be able to do their school work well, and continue their education without worrying about resources.
