School Tuition & Early Education Program (STEEP)

In Bangalore alone, 60,000 children live in the streets. Though in urban regions, literacy rate is marginally better, it’s the dropout rate has become a matter for concern. Nearly 1.3 Million People live in slums in Bangalore. 25%-35% Estimates of city population reside in the slums. 400,000 Children under the age of six live in slums and labor camps. The families live in ‘blue tents’ with no access to running water, electricity or sanitation.

New Mighty Grace Charitable Trust’s STEEP program provides necessary assistance to children, who have been rescued from child labour, including poverty, lack of motivation to study further, poor parents support system, absence of teachers or good quality education. Though the reasons can be plenty, the effect is same masses of children growing up uneducated and unaware about the options available to them is one of the major concerns. The situation is equally disappointing in both rural and urban areas.

NMGCT provides Early Childhood Education & Free Tuition to the marginalized children in both rural & Urban Bangalore. The program gives impetus for working with the youngsters who are facing financial difficulty

Expected outcomes of the proposed project are:
