Senior Citizen Activity Center

The feeling of loneliness in senior citizens comes in their way of feeling worthy, and optimally utilising their time, wisdom, and talent. The company of children can prove to be of great help in combating old-age isolation. Also, it shall greatly benefit the children, for they will learn a lot from the elderly.

There is a huge need to have a place where these two most important focus groups can meet and interact, and spend their time constructively.

Sunshine Society is sponsoring the education of 250 children who are living in and around Noida. With their three after-school study centres they are touching the lives and improving the academic capabilities of an additional 250 children.

Sunshine Society regularly organises various activities for the well being of senior citizens, including medical camps and opportunities for them to impart education to the children from the economically weaker sections of the society.

The direct impact is that over 500 children are getting educated and getting on the way to make India literate. Constructive occupation of the senior citizens which results in meaningful and happy surroundings is also a major implied impact.
